stronger foundations with screw piles
Design, Supply and installation for extensions, garden rooms, decks on slopes and pile supported slabs. Building Control – ready logs. Minimal disruption.

steel ring beams
Screw piles can support steel frames, solar panels, containers, modular buildings, prefab homes and caravan homes. They go in fast with no digging, work well in clay or tricky ground, can be installed close to trees without harming the roots – saving time and money.

timber frames
Helical piles are perfect for timber frames such as garden offices, decking, stairs, and small terraces, They install quickly with no digging, giving you a strong and secure foundation straight away. U-shaped or flat pule heads make fixing timber frames easier, heling builders save both time and money.

ground beams
On London Clay, screw piles remove the need for deep digging. Ground beams sit on piles at the right depth, often making them smaller. This saves on concrete and labour, speeds up the job, and keeps your site tidy. Rebar and heave protection are added where needed.

concrete slabs
Concrete slabs can be supported by helical piles with very little digging. The piles are set to the right depth, rebar mesh ties into the pile heads, and concrete is poured to form a solid slab. On clay ground, heave protection is recommended for extra stability.

Why choose Screw piles?
Made from 60 KSI ASTM A500 Grade C steel, GoliathTech screw piles are advanced steel foundation systems designed for superior load support in London clay projects. Shaped like large screws with helical plates, they anchor structure deep into the ground, preventing sinking, cracking, and shifting, even in the most challenging soil conditions.

Your Most Asked Questions & Answers
Where are your installation services available?
Our main area is London, but we also have certified teams across the UK.
What information do you need from me to prepare a quote?
All we need for an estimate is a foundation drawing with the point loads. If you’re not sure, just send over whatever drawings you’ve got and we’ll check them for you.
On average, how much does one screw pile cost?
It really depends on your project. The structure, pile size, and soil type all affect the cost. Please share your drawings with us and we’ll provide an estimate.
I’d like to build an extension in my back garden, but there’s no access for a digger. How will you install the piles?
In this case, we use a handheld portable installation device that can be carried through the house, so no big machinery is needed.
How much weight can a screw pile support?
Screw piles are very strong – depending on the pile size, soil conditions, and depth, a single pile can usually support anywhere from 50kN (about 5 tonnes) up to over 200kN (20+ tonnes). For your project, we’ll design the piles to safely carry the required loads.
Do you provide underpinning if my walls have cracks?
Yes, we install screw piles to underpin and stabilise properties affected by subsidence.
Do you offer structural engineering support?
Our structural engineer will take care of your project in line with UK Building regs, with piling logs handed over for Building Control.
