Sam's Drafting Board is a design studio specialising in architecture, planning and interior design, with projects ranging across hospitality, commercial, residential & housing, institutions, industrial, sports architecture and the non-profit sector, spread across different parts of the country.

We aim at providing design solutions that have a significant storyline, drawing inspiration from careful observation, exploration and research. Experimental in approach, we at SDB love to try something new. Our design philosophy is elementary — it allows us to stay rooted — and form follows fiction, which drives us to create things out of the box. It is an exercise to bind the two and give a balanced output. We also like to reel our design around nature and less superficiality.

Our favourite design quote is that of Pablo Picasso: "All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up!" It gives us a lot of motivation.

We enjoy what we do, and hence we are collaborative in nature. Our practice involves a lot of work at every stage — from understanding the client's brief, to conceptual thinking, to carefully analysing it to draw our first storyline. Want to create something new? We are here for you!
